Troubleshooting of Frosting / Local Freezing Faults in Refrigeration Equipment

Troubleshooting of Frosting / Local Freezing Faults in Refrigeration Equipment

During the operation of refrigeration equipment, we often encounter such a situation: the equipment can refrigerate normally at the beginning, but after a period of operation, a thick layer of frost will form on the surface of the evaporator, and even local freezing may occur in the chamber.

There are two main reasons for this fault.

On one hand, it is caused by improper daily use, such as frequently opening and closing the equipment door, which leads to a large amount of external hot and humid air entering; putting too much food at one time, which affects the circulation of cold air in the cabinet; and the poor sealing of the door gasket, which causes cold air leakage and moisture intrusion at the same time.

On the other hand, it is caused by the failure of equipment components. The damage of core components such as temperature controller, temperature sensor, solenoid valve, defrost controller, defrost heater, defrost sensor, or main control board will cause abnormal defrost function, which will lead to frosting and freezing problems.

Summary of Fault Troubleshooting

Good door sealing, controlling the frequency of door opening and the amount of food stored in daily use can effectively reduce such faults; if the fault still exists, it is necessary to check the relevant electrical components in time, replace or repair the damaged parts, and restore the normal operation of the equipment.
